The Thimble Hut is a Collection Containment for... Thimbles!  It is modeled after a real Sterling Silver thimble that I have used for many years, and is copied from it, down to the last detail.  The container is made of quilted metallic fabric over a tiered wooden form; the interior rotates to grant access to the collection.  The inside is lined with silver-cloth so that the collection won't tarnish, and in the door is a pocket that holds an inventory book and a little polish cloth.  Much of the fun of collecting is playing with the things, organizing and categorizing, comparing and admiring the endless variations.
