The Scissoria Sanctuary is a collection containment for scissors. Being a seamstress, scissors are very important, and all different kinds are useful. Little ones, big ones, scissors for paper and scissors for silk.... soon I had collected lots of scissors. The Sanctuary holds 99 of them!
It is modeled after a Greek Orthodox church. I wanted it to give a feeling of retreat and repose, a place you would come upon in a clearing in the forest, miles from anywhere. I had seen a photograph of just such a place in eastern Russia, and adapted the container's form from it. I was so pleased at how the sparkly domes just wanted to hold more scissors, for the spires!
The box is about 12" wide, 12" deep and 15" tall.
